Poland
For Chopin pilgrims, Poland is an Eldorado: his birthplace, a great deal of the Warsaw palaces he visited and his stopping places over the country are extant; if not, there is a plaque or monument. But also other prominent Polish composers like Szymanowski or Lutosławski can be met.
Pomerania and Silesia, being part of Germany until 1945, contain traces of German composers, including Telemann, Loewe and Weber. On the other hand, earlier Poland used to be extended in eastern direction, so that Szymanowski was born in present Ukraine and Moniuszko’s traces can be found in Belarus and Lithuania.
